Competition - Terms and Conditions

  1. This competition closes at midnight on 31st October 2009
  2. The winner will be notified within one week of 31st October and their name will be available by writing to Wendy Holden Beautiful People competition, Headline Marketing Dept, 338 Euston Rd, London, NW1 3BH from 7th November 2009 onwards
  3. Entries are limited to one per person and must be paid using the form on this website. No other means of entry will be accepted.
  4. The entry instructions form part of the rules. By entering, entrants agree to accept and be bound by the rules
  5. Entrants must be aged eighteen or over and be UK residents.
  6. Employees and friends and relatives of anyone associated with it are not eligible to enter.
  7. There is one prize of one dress (Garment), including three fittings with designer Ana Cristache, and £250 to cover the winner’s travel expenses for those fittings.
  8. The judges reserve the right to substitute the prize for one or equal or greater value.
  9. There is no cash alternative to this prize.
  10. The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  11. The winner must agree to their name and photograph being used for promotional purposes.
  12. The winner’s Garment will be constructed over three fittings which will be held Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm (last appointment taken at 6pm).
  13. The winner will have the obligation to bring the shoes and underwear to be worn with this Garment for all fittings, including the first fitting.
  14. Fastenings such as zips, buttons, loops, hooks and bar, velcro, and straps, as an integral part of the Garment, are of the highest quality standards. Prior to the collection of the finished Garment the winner will be asked to test their soundness by moving, sitting, standing, kneeling, etc. No liability can be accepted for fastenings which fail if the gown was subjected to activities other than sitting, standing, kneeling or moderate dancing, unless the winner specifically informs the Supplier in advance that the fastenings need to be satisfactory for a specified purpose.
  15. Ownership of design rights: The Supplier owns all design rights, copyright and other intellectual property rights in its designs and Garment and the winner shall not be entitled to reproduce the same without prior written consent of the Supplier.
  16. Disputes: Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Contract shall be decided under the law of England and Wales and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
  17. Headline Publishing Group has arranged this competition in good faith but does not accept liability relating to the prize.
